About 1/2 mile past Evergreen Park take the sharp curve to the left on Union Hill Road. Dave's white house is on the left about 2.5 miles (just past a church and then the entrance to the Union Hill Subdivision on the right). Scouting for Food BAG DISTRIBUTION |
Meet at 1st Christian Church south (Verizon) parking lot to divide into small groups for hanging bags on doors. http://www.flickr.com/photos/30298778@N00 http://www.stlbsa.org/Common/Home/scouting%20for%20food Scouting For Food, the Greater St. Louis Area Council's annual "Good Turn," is set for Nov. 15 and 22. More than 30,000 scouts and Scouters in the Greater St. Louis Area Council are expected to participate. Scouts in southern Illinois, southeast Missouri and the St. Louis Metro area will distribute bags door-to-door on Nov. 15 and return on Nov. 22 to pick up the bags filled with canned goods. The Kaskaskia District in Southern Illinois collected almost 36,000 food items in 2007. The goal this year is 40,000 food items. Food contributed is distributed locally. In areas outside the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County, food collected is taken directly to a local food pantry. In 2007, Scouts collected 2.07 million cans of food to help those in need. This "Good Turn" is successful thanks to the tremendous support of Scouts, Scouters and the community. |

ALL SCOUTS: It's time once again to renew the Pack 37 and Pack 60 charters as well as all scouts' membership in Cub Scouts. Many of our scouts sold popcorn and will therefore have their membership renewal fee ($15) paid by Pack 37 or Pack 60 as an award for selling more than $50 of popcorn. We don't want any scout's membership to lapse. Although we do hope every scout renews, if you do not wish to renew your scout, please let your Den Leader or me know ASAP so we won't bug you. Den Leaders - let me know immediately. I NEED a form completed from every scout renewing. 1. If your scout sold popcorn, then just download and check popcorn on the Renewal Form below and email, fax or mail it to me. 2. If your scout did not sell popcorn, please download the Renewal Form below, complete it and mail it ASAP with the corresponding fee(s)(make check to BSA or cash is fine if you give it to me in person). The renewal form will also let you renew a subscription or start a new subscription to Boys Life (BL) magazine. All scouts are responsible for their BL subscription fee ($12). ***I need the Renewal Form and $$ by November 14th.
