10:00a -1:00p "Love Makes A Family" Photo Exhibit This museum-quality traveling exhibit focuses on the value of diversity in family life. It includes photographs and interviews with families that have lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) members. It is open free of charge Sundays from 10:00-11:00 and 12:00-1:00, Thursdays from Noon-5:30pm through Nov 5th.
11:00a "Dia de Los Muertos," Rabbi Posner Rabbi Phillip Posner, who resides in Mexico, will speak on "Character: the Path to the Other Side." Also, in commemoration of Dia de Los Muertos
(Day of the Dead), we will have a traditional altar. Bring a picture of a beloved relative or friend who has departed. Rabbi Posner will ask us to name a hero whose character we admire.

11:00a Veterans' Day, Lee Marie Sanchez Veteran's Day reminds us of all of those, living and dead, who have served their country in the military or the
reserves, and we will do that in our worship service today. We will also honor those who were able to make the choice to be conscientious objectors. As long as wars continue anywhere we are all war veterans and we shall ponder that together too.
12:30p Congregational Meeting On the agenda will be Reports by our Board President and Minister, Consideration of UUCA Budget for 2010, Vote on becoming a Welcoming Congregation, Election of a Nominating Committee, Election of Social Justice Committee members.

11:00a "My Trip to the Holy Land," Michael Eselun Michael Eselun is a hospital chaplain and member of the Santa Monica UU Congregation. He will share his reflections upon his recent trip to Jerusalem with a friend facing a grave medical crisis. He will discuss both the external journey and his internal journey through fear and unanswerable questions.

Nov 20Fri 6:30p Potluck for Progressives - Undocumented Workers Members of the Colectivo Tonantzin, a grassroots organization that defends the rights of undocumented workers from police harassment and abuse, will deliver a presentation about their efforts to fight racist and discriminatory city ordinances which seek to criminalize efforts by day laborers to seek work.
